Why mindfulness meditation works at work
Every 24 hours we all age another day, whether you are 1 or 100!
Consider this: Peak cognitive performance is reached at age 24 – and then begins to decrease each year. Since more than a quarter of employees at Fortune 500 companies are older than 50, perhaps it’s time to consider introducing your employees to mindfulness meditation, which has been shown to scientifically increase cognitive ability?
Aetna did, and estimates that it gained $3,000 in productivity per employee each year since it began its mindfulness program. In addition, it saved $2,000 per employee in health costs annually.
Meditation promotes positive behavioral changes, helping individuals cope with deadly stress and maintain feelings of well-being.
Plus, it just makes you feel so good!
How we work
Everyone is busy, which is why our corporate sessions are 50 minutes, perfect for before or after work or during lunch.
We like to keep our groups to no more than 10, so everyone gets a chance to be heard. We promise that if your employees practice, within six weeks, they will be meditating for 20 minutes a day, the time science tells us is needed to change patterns of behavior.
Sometimes it takes our clients a little longer to reach that magic 20 minutes. And that’s OK. Mindfulness meditation is a gentle practice. It is individual. There is never any pressure to succeed.
And we are here to help.
